During film of RAMBO 2 in Afganistán

Notas importantes:

DOJ: will not prosecute james comey.

US Dep. Of Justice
Department of Justice

Mr. Secretary Barr

The Department of Justice will not prosecute former FBI director James Comey for leaking memos detailing his interactions with President Donald Trump.

NBC News reports:

According an Office of the Inspector General report released Thursday, Comey violated DOJ and FBI policies, as well as the FBI’s employment agreement, by keeping copies of four of his memos in a personal safe and asking a law professor friend to make one memo public after Trump fired him in May 2017.

The DOJ’s internal watchdog, which probed Comey’s handling of the sensitive documents, found that Comey’s friend leaked the contents of the memo to a reporter from The New York Times, but that it did not contain classified information. Comey shared all four memos with his private attorneys after his firing without alerting the FBI, the report said — another violation of policy — and one contained information classified at the Confidential level, which is the lowest level.

The inspector general “found no evidence that Comey or his attorneys released any of the classified information contained in any of the Memos to members of the media,” however, and the report said that the Justice Department has already made the decision not to prosecute Comey for this disclosure. NBC News reported earlier this month that the Justice Department would not bring charges.

Trump has repeatedly accused Comey have having leaked classified information, something Comey appeared to address Thursday after the report was made public.

“I don’t need a public apology from those who defamed me, but a quick message with a ‘sorry we lied about you’ would be nice,” the former FBI chief said on Twitter.

“And to all those who’ve spent two years talking about me ‘going to jail’ or being a ‘liar and a leaker’ —ask yourselves why you still trust people who gave you bad info for so long, including the president,” Comey added.

Mexico’s Central Bank Governor Says Economy Growing Below Potential

The head of Mexico’s central bank said on Wednesday that consumption in Latin America’s second-largest economy could pick up again even if recent data pointed to a slowdown.

Bank of Mexico Governor Alejandro Diaz de Leon said at an event in Mexico City that the country’s economy was growing less than it could have in recent quarters, and that this gap had widened while also facing an external slowdown.

Kyle Bass Exits Offshore Yuan Bet as PBOC Squeezes Shorts – Bloomberg.

#InternationalNews #Bloomberg

It may seem like a strange time for hedge fund manager Kyle Bass to exit his short bet against the offshore yuan– just as the trade looks to have a chance of becoming seriously profitable.

Almost four years after the long-time China bear made the wager, the currency is under increasing pressure amid a worsening trade conflict. If nothing else, fears of a global economic slowdown are giving traders a reason to flee to the haven of the dollar. That points to further weakness in emerging-market currencies, the yuan included.

It’s unclear when exactly Bass closed the position, which he held as recently as March. The Hayman Capital Manager founder no longer has a vested interest in China’s currency, he told Bloomberg Television in the U.S. in an interview Tuesday. Had Bass closed the trade in April, he wouldn’t have profited much. In July 2015, the offshore yuan was trading at around 6.2 per dollar; it was at 6.7 in April, a depreciation of about 7.5 percent.

A Good Trade?

Beting on capital markets has always been that, until Chinese made it clear, their determination and full character as a discipline culture. On resume, dont mess with them.
